Possessing all the structural requirements established by the law (Legislative Decree n. 214 of 19/08/2005), the National Plant Protection Service has released the Title X to PhyDia allowing to hold and manage Quarantine Plant Pathogens for research and scientific purposes.

Because of this authorization, the DAFNE of University of Tuscia has delegated to PhyDia the entire management of Quarantine Plant Pathogens involved in several research projects, such as those listed below.

  • Euphresco ring test on Pseudomonas syringae actinidiae

“Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae (PSA): diagnosis, detection, identification and study of epidemiological aspects (PSA-DID)”

Inter-laboratory test conducted by international Institutes of excellence and conceived with the aim to harmonize and standardize effective protocols for detection and identification of Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae, agent of bacterial canker of kiwifruit, among all those available in scientific literature.

“Pilot project for monitoring of suspicious symptoms associated to the olive quick decline syndrome (CoDiRO) on olive groves of Northern Lazio and related information and training activities for olive growers”

Concerning preventive monitoring activities within Lazio region aimed at detecting, by field observation and specific laboratory tests, possible contagion of olive trees by the “killer bacterium” Xylella fastidiosa, responsible for extensive damages to olive groves in Apulia region.
